ViroPharma atop Fast 50 list

ViroPharma Inc. topped Deloitte LLC’s Greater Philadelphia Fast 50, which was released Thursday.

The Exton, Pa., biotechnology company posted revenue growth of 12,541 percent over the past five years to put it atop the list of the area’s fastest-growing technology, life sciences and green tech companies.

Globus Medical, an Audubon, Pa., developer of spine surgery products, came in second with revenue growth of 10,142 percent.

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Malvern, Pa, biopharmaceutical company, was third with revenue growth of 985 percent.

Two technology companies rounded out the top five: AirClic Inc., a Trevose, Pa., developer of mobile business applications, was fourth with 962 percent revenue growth; and Beyond.com Inc., a King of Prussia, Pa., operator of career Web sites, was fifth with 954 percent revenue growth.
